This is an awesome place. We saw a movie telling of the history and looked through the whole house as well as the library. We spent about 3 hours there. The people who work there are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

  • My children, aged 13 to 8, were absolutely fascinated as our guide Sheryl did an amazing job of captivating their attention, explaining the different patterns, colors, and styles that developed through each era. My children are all now Heisey glass fans and made me promise that we could come back!

  • Small local museum curated to tell the story of Heisey Glass. We did not go to Newark with the intention of going, but it was a very nice stop. There are four main areas of displays and examples of glassworks from every decade of Heisey Glass. Even if you are not a Heisey Glass enthusiast, it is interesting to see. If you arrive on a slow day like we did, the folks at the front desk will give you a quick orienting tour and some history of the museum.
