As we bring 2025 to a close, I want to offer my sincere gratitude to each of you who make the Heisey Collectors of America the strong, connected, and mission-driven community it is. This year has reminded us once again that our organization thrives because of your commitment—your time, your engagement, your expertise, and your generosity. Whether it was volunteering at the Museum, supporting our auctions, contributing financially, or participating in your study clubs, your involvement continues to shape the future of HCA in meaningful ways.
At the same time, this season brings a significant moment of reflection as we honor the Heisey Club of California Study Club. After 51 years of commitment and contribution, the members of HCC voted to surrender their charter effective December 31, 2025. While this news is undoubtedly bittersweet, their contributions over five decades—including education, outreach, and steadfast support of the Museum—remain an important and lasting part of our story. We are deeply grateful to Martha McGill for her steadfast leadership and for the community they built in California and sustained for so many years. David Blair’s pledged cabinet had not yet been funded at the time of his death. The decision was made to fund the cabinet through crowdfunding donations so that his plaque may read as he wished. If you would like to contribute to this effort send your donation to the museum with the note “David Blair Cabinet”.
Across the Museum and the broader organization, we continue to make strong progress. Only one cabinet remains available in the Reproductions Cabinet Campaign, bringing us close to completing this important preservation initiative. Contact Cheryl Varrasso to purchase your cabinet before year end.
The Gift Shop is also offering special holiday promotions—an opportunity to support the Museum while finding a thoughtful gift for someone who shares your love of Heisey. And our new website project remains on schedule: a board preview is expected this December, followed by user testing in early to mid-January, with a full launch anticipated toward the end of January 2026. This upgrade will strengthen membership support, streamline data, and modernize our digital presence.
As we look toward the new year, I ask you to consider an end-of-year contribution to HCA. Your generosity allows us to preserve our collection, maintain the Museum, and continue the programming, education, and community engagement that define our mission.
