DESCRIPTION:Annual Convention to Celebrate Heisey’s Place in History\n  \nJoin your fellow Heisey glass enthusiasts this summer for a grand celebration of the glass that made its mark on Newark\, on Ohio\, and on the nation. We’ll recognize Heisey’s Place in History during our annual convention June 17 through 20. \n“This theme is especially fitting during the year in which we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States\,” said HCA President Caleb-Michael Files. “We will explore the rich legacy of A.H. Heisey & Company in a convention that is shaping up to be one of our best.” \nRegister Today \nWednesday\, June 17\, enjoy a catered Welcome Picnic* at 5:30 p.m. under a large tent on the grounds of the Buckingham House\, just a couple of doors down from the Heisey Glass Museum. \nFollowing the picnic\, the Crystal Clear Virtual Heisey Study Club will host an informal social open to all at 7:30 p.m. with appetizers\, beverages\, and a silent auction of Heisey glass at the Hampton Inn in Heath. \nThursday\, June 18\, will include three special opportunities to deepen your knowledge of glass and Heisey history: \n\nThe Works: Ohio Center for History\, Art and Technology in downtown Newark will provide a private glassblowing demonstration* in the morning.\nThe Works will offer a glassblowing class* for up to 10 people in the early afternoon.*\nCurrent owners of the Heisey factory building have graciously agreed to conduct a tour* of portions of the factory at noon for up to 20 people as a fundraiser for HCA.\n\nAll three of these are ticketed events. If more people than can be accommodated wish to participate\, a lottery will be used to select those who can purchase tickets. To be included in the lottery for any of these events you must register by May 8 and indicate on the form your interest in these events. \nThursday would also be the perfect time to explore the new exhibit of Heisey reproductions in the lower level of the museum\, or the exhibit of Heisey vases in the museum’s Walter Ludwig Gallery. \nAnticipation will build throughout the day for A Touch of Glass – the 4 p.m. gala\, red carpet opening of the 2026 HCA Glass Show and Sale* at The Skylight in downtown Newark. Enjoy complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres\, have your photo snapped by a pro at our Heisey History photo stop\, and then shop the show. \nFriday\, June 19\, begins at the museum with the HCA Annual Meeting\, the election of board members\, and reports from study clubs\, followed by the first convention seminar\, a glass identification session called Mystify the Masters. The glass show will reopen Friday afternoon\, and three seminars will be held at The Skylight to give convention goers the opportunity to learn a little\, shop a little. Friday seminar topics are Through the Looking Glass of an Edwardian Dinner Party\, Heisey’s Creams (and Sugars) of the Crop\, and Heisey’s Overlooked Jewels. \nThe 2026 Convention Banquet* will be held Friday evening at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel\, just a couple of blocks from the glass show. We are planning a special program as well as an auction of enticing Heisey glass. \nSaturday\, June 20\, begins bright and early with the Glass Flea Market at 8 a.m. in Newark’s Canal Market District\, where you can find bargains in Heisey and other glass. Bring your dimes and test your skill for a chance to win Heisey glass in the Dime Toss\, a fan favorite tradition of the flea market. \nThe final day of the glass show opens at 11 a.m. and two additional seminars are scheduled: Heisey’s Adventures Into Bent Glass and Other Mid-Century Modern Styles\, and Navigating the Online Archives. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the Heisey Glass Museum’s Holiday Open House on Saturday\, November 28\, from 5 to 8 p.m. The halls and galleries will be decked with holiday decorations\, and the Heisey glass on display will sparkle. Visitors will enjoy seasonal music and refreshments served on real Heisey glass. Holiday crafts will be available for a nominal fee for children of all ages. Be sure to stop at the Museum Shop to find that special gift of Heisey or HCA® Glassware made in original Heisey moulds\, some with repurposed Heisey glass. This annual event is free to all and held in conjunction with open houses at the adjacent historic Sherwood-Davidson House and Buckingham Meeting House of the Licking County Historical Society.

SUMMARY:2027 Spring Benefit Auction
DESCRIPTION:The Spring Benefit Auction (SBA) is a four-day Heisey glass extravaganza\, offering a wide array of items for bidding and buying. There is something for everyone\, from standard production items to true rarities that you seldom see\, much less have a chance to buy. The auction provides the perfect chance to start a collection\, find the ideal wedding gift\, or add a special piece to your collection. \nThe auction will be held online only. Be sure to save the dates – April 8-11\, 2027 – for four consecutive days of exciting online bidding and buying. \nAs the SBA approaches\, details about consigning glass\, auction times\, the auction catalog\, highlights of the auction\, and how to bid online will be published. \n \nInterested in consigning glass to the 2027 Spring Benefit Auction? \nIn order to consign glass to any of our auctions\, you must be a member\, in good standing\, of HCA. \nEach member may consign no more than 40 lots. HCA charges the following sliding scale commission per lot: $5.00-$50.00 = 40%; $50.01-$200.00 = 30%; $200.01-$400.00 = 20%; $400.01-$750.00 = 15%; $750.01 and over = 10%. Payment (settlement) to the member for glass sold is made in full from the HCA Auction Trust account no later than fifteen days after the auction. \nIf you are interested in consigning glass to this auction\, the contract and glass list form can be obtained by emailing a request to Auction@HeiseyMuseum.org or contacting Jennifer Miller\, Auction Firm Manager\, at 740-345-2932. \nItems are only accepted at the museum upon execution of the contract. \nFor the 2027 Spring Benefit Auction\, items are accepted at any time but must be delivered to the museum no later than December 18\, 2026. \nFor any of our auctions\, a member may donate an unlimited number of lots to HCA. Contact one of the Co-Executive Directors of the museum before delivering any donated items.
