We have the solution for you!

Knowing that many have missed celebrating various holidays these past two years, please join us as we celebrate “It’s A Heisey Holiday!” at the Heisey Collectors of America 2022 Convention and Elegant Glass Show, June 15-19, 2022.

As co-chairs for Convention, we look forward to assisting you with your plans to share your love of special holidays with old friends and new collectors.

Plans are underway for many returning events as well as some new offerings. Opening evening picnic always brings Heisey friends from across the country together- this year even more special as the years we have missed due to Covid. You will not want to miss Thursday morning brunch as we honor our special “Valentine” Volunteers. Informative seminars during the show hours, presented by our HCA members, will encourage you to re-visit the spectacular table displays for more ideas, then return to the dealer booths to purchase a few more pieces of outstanding glass for your collection. Friday night banquet offers time to brag about the beautiful and exquisite piece of Heisey purchased at the fabulous glass show. The Canal Walk Flea Market on Saturday offers another chance of finding a special piece of glass to use at your next “Holiday.”

“It’s A Heisey Holiday” is a marvelous way to spend time together with those who appreciate the finer things, and holidays, of life! How will you share your favorite holiday?

Plan now to celebrate in Newark!

Reserve your room!

After two years with no convention, HCA members are ready to celebrate. Plan now to come to Newark for the 2022 convention with its celebratory theme, It’s a Heisey Holiday.

If you are traveling from a distance, one of the first things to do is reserve your hotel room, available now at special Heisey rates.

Heisey rates are available Wednesday, June 14 through Sunday, June 19 for convention attendees. When reserving your room, be sure to ask for the Heisey rate:

Courtyard by Marriott Newark Granville, 500 Highland Blvd., Newark. $109 plus tax per night, includes made-to-order breakfast (2 per room). Call 740-344-1800 to reserve. (Reserve as soon as possible; many rooms have already been booked for the Friday and Saturday nights of our convention.)

Hampton Inn Heath/Newark, 1008 Hebron Road, Heath. $85 plus tax per night, buffet breakfast. Call 740-788-8991 to reserve. (A limited block of rooms will be held for us through May 14, but space may be available after that time at the Heisey rate.)

Volunteers needed to help with convention tasks

Creating a smooth running, successful convention takes help from many volunteers. Over the years, HCA members have given generously of their time to make this happen.

This year volunteers are needed to:

Take tickets at the glass show.
Greet visitors to the table displays at the glass show.
    Greet visitors to the seminars.
Assist with the glass dealer luncheon.
Staff the refreshment station in the lower level of the museum.
Serve as greeters at the welcome dinner, the brunch and the banquet.
    Mentor first time convention attendees.
    Assist with the silent auction.
Set up the display of glass for the live auction during the banquet.
Assist with clean up after events.

Items sought for convention auctions, hospitality area

The 2022 convention will include the customary silent auction and banquet auction. Traditionally many wonderful items for these auctions have been donated by Heisey members and Study Clubs as well as local merchants in the Newark area.

Individual members and clubs are encouraged to donate festive gift baskets or other items fitting the convention theme, It’s a Heisey Holiday, to add to the fun.

Snacks donated for the hospitality area in the lower level of the museum would also be appreciated. Because of the uncertainty of COVID, all snacks for this area must be prepackaged in individual serving portions – trail mix, chips, cookies, etc., as well as fruit that comes naturally prepackaged, such as bananas and tangerines.

If you would like to donate a piece of glass or a gift basket to be auctioned, please contact one of these people:

David Eric Blair,, 818-470-6900
Emie Heisey,, 912-414-7144
Suzanne Parker,, 703-472-1614

If you are coming to the convention, you may bring your donation with you and drop it off at the museum when you arrive. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate an item for the fundraiser, you may mail it directly to the museum.

If you are donating prepackaged treats for the hospitality area, you may order them online and have them shipped directly to the museum.
