2010 HCA CONVENTION RECAP

The weather was beautiful. Old friends were greeted. New friends were found. Interesting facts were learned. And the glass glistened! For the 39th time, Heisey lovers convened June 16th-19th in Newark for our Annual Convention.
At the Welcome BBQ, we enthusiastically greeted sixteen first timers and honored five former employees and guests.
We learned more about our beautiful Heisey glassware at the Glass Identification / Show and Tell Session, and at two information-packed Seminars. The Hospitality Room was a popular gathering place for telling glass stories. The Annual Meeting informed us about HCA. Fresh ideas inspired us at the Study Club meeting. The lovely banquet created an enjoyable evening. The Premiere Glass Show and the Flea Market on the Square provided us with a glorious array of glass to purchase.
These are some of the activities that were offered to convention-goers, and would not have been possible without the dedication, enthusiasm, and just plain hard work of many volunteers who graciously stepped up to do the job. We thank those volunteers who made convention a success.
