We have Nappies!
We are very happy to have our Heisey Nappy Collection out on display in the newly renovated Gallery 3 (former Museum Shop location in the King House). The nappies are a mix of the Museum Collection, which has been in storage and not on display in several years, and some individually owned pieces. There are over 260 different nappies on display. The nappies are displayed in their production date order from earliest of patterns to the latest. The nappies range in size, shape, color and pattern, and express how diversified the Heisey Company patterns were. It’s amazing how many varieties of the simple bowl Heisey perfected.
