2018 Dave Spahr Fall Select Auction Absentee Bid Instructions

SUBMITTING YOUR BID:
All bids and payment must be submitted on the Absentee Bidding Form. Absentee bids must be received at the Museum no later than Friday, October 12, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time – no exceptions. Your method of payment must be in the possession of HCA prior to executing a bid.

PAYMENT:
Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, personal check, cashier’s check, traveler’s check, Money Order, or cash. Mail you bid form and payment to:
ABSENTEE BIDS, National Heisey Glass Museum, 169 W Church Street, Newark OH 43055

If using a credit card – a 5% Buyers Premium will be added for all credit card payments. You can Fax your form to the Museum at (740) 345-9638. Please contact the Museum to ensure the Fax has arrived and has been retrieved.

If paying by check make all checks payable to: HCA Auction. You may send a separate check for each lot or one check covering the maximum amount of all bids. Any surplus bid money will be refunded. Send a SASE to return your checks. Consider sending one blank check and designate in the check memo blank an amount “not to exceed” the total amount of your bids. The Auction Manager or HCA Treasurer will fill in the exact amount of your purchase.

SETTING BID AMOUNTS & LIMITS:
The minimum absentee bid per lot is $15. The auctioneer usually raises in increments of $5, $10, $25. You set the maximum amount you are willing to pay on each lot. Lots containing multiple items will be as one lot to the success-ful bidder. HCA reserves the right to reject any bid.

On your bid form indicate the desired condition of each item on which you are bidding. We endeavor to describe all items to the best of our ability and a bid on an item reflects your acceptance of the condition as listed. HCA will bid competitively on your behalf. If you mark your bid “near mint only” we will use no discretion in your bid and if we find a variance on a lot that is not called in the catalog we will not bid on that lot for you.

SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS:
If you are a successful bidder, you will need to arrange for your items to be shipped to you.
HCA is aware of the following area shippers:

HCA is not responsible for any services provided by these venders. HCA will work with these venders to make sure your glass is available. Glass is available for pick up at the National Heisey Glass Museum at 169 W. Church St., New-ark, OH 43055 during regular working hours Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Be sure to contact the Museum at 740-345-2932 to let them know what shipper will be picking up your glass.

OTHER:
In case of duplicate bids, the earliest postmark wins.
Bids must reflect the listing in the catalog as to lot number, pattern, description, and condition.

The prices realized from this Auction on all lots will be printed in a future issue of the Heisey News. If you are not an HCA member but want to receive the results list, send $2 and a long SASE.
